30 years of Stoelzle Flaconnage

This year marks a special milestone for Stoelzle Flaconnage in Knottingley, UK, as we celebrate 30 years of glass-making excellence. Since being acquired by Stoelzle Glass Group in 1994, our Knottingley, UK facility has grown into a leader in the premium spirits packaging industry.

From the very beginning, we invested not only in building long-lasting relationships with our employees but also in modernising our plant – starting with a brand new furnace, the construction of a new customer center and mould shop. A major furnace upgrade in 2016 further enhanced our production capabilities, ensuring we could meet growing demand. In recent years, we have continued to invest in state-of-the-art technology, such as the installation of the F11 EMS Palletiser and K15 decoration system, to remain at the forefront of glass manufacturing.

These upgrades have not only strengthened our ability to serve the global market but have also allowed us to stay deeply connected to our local community, which plays an integral role in our success.

While the technology and equipment are cutting-edge, it’s the people who have truly shaped Stoelzle Flaconnage into what it is today. Over the past three decades, we’ve had the privilege of working alongside the talented, hardworking individuals from our local community in Knottingley and the surrounding areas.

They bring passion, skill, and pride to everything they do, helping us grow into one of the top spirits glass manufacturers in the UK and around the world.

Over the years, Stoelzle Flaconnage has had the pleasure of partnering with prestigious spirits companies like Diageo, William Grant & Sons, and The Edrington Group, as well as collaborating with smaller Irish and Scottish whisky and gin distilleries.

Today, we offer far more than glass production. Our in-house UK design team collaborates closely with clients to turn their visions into reality. From bespoke, handcrafted bottles for limited-edition whiskies to large-scale production for premium gins, our glass containers have become synonymous with quality and innovation. We’ve also embraced sustainability by offering lightweight glass bottles, helping brands reduce their environmental impact without compromising on design. We’ve built lasting relationships with these brands, working closely to bring their creative visions to life through expert glass design and craftsmanship.

As we look to the future, our commitment to both the community and the industry remains stronger than ever. We’re dedicated to being a top workplace in the region, creating opportunities for local talent, and fostering a supportive, inclusive environment. A major part of what makes Stoelzle Flaconnage special is our long-term employees—many of whom have been with us from the very beginning. In fact, some of our team members were already working at the plant before Stoelzle acquired it in 1994. Their loyalty, knowledge, and experience are invaluable, and their dedication has been central to our success.
