The Product Brief
We brought to life a concept designed initially by True Output and introduced the bottle to manu-facture.
Our customer sought a bottle that matched the quality of the whisky it contained. Waterford’s vision was to create the most profound single malt whisky, a product that attracted curiosity by being a deliberate contrast to the rest of the industry. We created a unique and striking bottle in cobalt blue, making Waterford a brand to be proud of.
Feeder colour is an exciting decoration option which gives an unmistakable and stunning finish to Waterford.

Our methods used in production
The first release bottles sold out instantly across Europe in what distributors gave feedback as “unprecedented” for a new brand.

Step 1
We were first asked to create a series of renders to be used for the upcoming launch of the product.
Working closely with the brand owners to create impressive marketing visuals, we focused on the silhouette imagery and key features such as the horizontal ribs. Our renders created a teasing glimpse at the highly anticipated first release by Waterford Distillery.

The colour blue was an essential part of the brief.
Waterford, Ireland is a county well known not only for beautiful seascapes but for the historic production of its blue crystal. We therefore produced the bottle in cobalt blue glass as an ode to historical sentiment and the nature of the brand’s provenance.

We contrasted the ceramic print of the Waterford name in white against the deep blue of the glass to give the brand a striking and unforgettable image.
The bottle is finished with esoteric symbols to attract the eye.
